By choosing to work with a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), you are ensuring that you receive professional, ethical, and effective mental health support. CRPO regulates psychotherapists in Ontario, providing ethical standards and professional guidelines to ensure high standards of practice, as well as a secure environment where your privacy and confidentiality are safeguarded. CRPO members are committed to continuous learning which enhances the quality of care that you may receive.

At Echo & Insight Psychotherapy, your privacy is of utmost importance. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of your personal health information, in full compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) standards.

At Echo & Insight Psychotherapy, we believe therapy should be accessible to all. That’s why we provide sliding scale options to accommodate various financial situations. These spots are typically available for post-secondary students with limited financial resources or adults who are currently unemployed, but we’re happy to discuss your specific needs.

The number of sessions needed varies for each individual, as everyone’s therapeutic journey is unique. Some clients start to notice meaningful progress after just a few sessions, especially when focusing on short-term goals or specific issues. For others, deeper or more complex concerns may require a longer course of therapy to see significant change.

Typically, therapy is most effective when it’s consistent, allowing us to build a strong therapeutic relationship and work through patterns over time. You may feel improvement in 6 to 12 sessions, but the exact number will depend on your pace and personal circumstances.

Yes, Echo & Insight Psychotherapy is a LGBTQIA+ friendly practice. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

We utilize JaneApp, a secure and user-friendly platform designed for virtual therapy sessions. All sessions are conducted via video conferencing, allowing you to connect from the comfort of your own home or any private space of your choice.

To participate in a session, you will receive a secure link to access your appointment. Simply click the link at the scheduled time, and you'll be brought into a virtual waiting room until your therapist joins you. We recommend using a device with a camera and microphone for the best experience.

Yes, JaneApp is designed with your privacy and security in mind. It is fully compliant with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and adheres to strict data protection standards. This means that your personal information and therapy sessions are kept confidential and secure.

JaneApp employs end-to-end encryption for video calls, ensuring that only you and your therapist can access the session. Additionally, all client records and communications are stored securely in accordance with best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
